If you fell in love with Paula McBride's "Hairy Scary Spider?", you and your young ones are sure to be enthralled by this lively, little rhyming book, "Slippy the Slimy Slug!"
For those of all ages who love slugs (and even those who are not so sure,) you cannot help, but be charmed by Slippy and his friends as they tell you about their squelchy, sticky day and the slimy mischief they get up to at night.
The colourful illustrations are delightfully simple and beautifully capture the loveable personalities of these funny little creatures with humour and fun! The only difficulty is working out which of these oozy, squishy slugs is our favourite!
Written and cleverly illustrated especially for ebooks, this entertaining, catchy rhyme will have your young ones and you going on a slug hunt in your very own garden.
"These hands have been playing with slugs," we called to our mum as we reached out to touch her, fingers wriggling and twisting and covered in stickyness!
Why would we do this to her? Well, when I was very young, my brother and I loved playing with sticky, slimy slugs. However, our mummy hated them! So, being children, it was in our job description to be a bit cheeky and a lot naughty!
"Slippy the Slimy Slug!" was written to bring my love of slugs out to everyone, in a hope that you'll all learn to love them too, and for everyone who likes them already, you'll going to adore the funny little characters in this story.
Enjoy! Paula XXX
